THE TWILIGHT SAD

twilight_sad_by_nic_shonfeld_3

Transmission 004 is the first in a series of mini-shows that are dedicated love letters to bands that I feel are making important music.

Scotland’s, The Twilight Sad is one of my all-time favorites and has been a huge inspiration on my art and music respectively.  I find their use of soundscapes, texture and repetition to be incredibly fascinating.  James Graham brings a fresh look at what it means to be a lyrical story-teller and Andy MacFarlene is an ingenious producer when it comes to creating Twilight Sad’s albums.

Songs featured in the show are listed below for purchase.  I also mentioned the albums, Killed My Parents And Hit The Road, Nobody Wants To Be Here And Nobody Wants To Leave and The Wrong Car EP which can be found by following the links.

The Twilight Sad performs at Lincoln Hall in Chicago tonight, show starts at 8PM.

Friday and Saturday, The Twilight Sad will be opening up for The Cure at the UIC in Chicago, show starts at 7:30PM.

Also check out the rest of The Twilight Sad’s tour with The Cure as well as other updates here.
